What if there was a handheld device specifically for running Blender?
Well, I designed one, so I can teach you some fundamental modeling skills.
Transform Your Modeling Skills in Just 5 Hours
Ever wondered how to create professional-looking 3D models with perfect topology? This comprehensive mini-course takes you from zero to hero as you model a complete (and sadly, fictional...for now) handheld device designed specifically for running Blender on-the-go.
What You'll Create
Starting with a simple sketch, you'll build a fully detailed, subdivision-ready 3D model of a retro-inspired handheld Blender device. Every curve, button, and surface detail is crafted using techniques that you can apply to any modeling project.
This course is intended for beginner Blender users.
Your Complete Learning Journey

Why This Course Works
See My Thinking Process: I don't just show you what to do - I explain why each decision matters.
Iterative Learning: The model grows in complexity naturally, so you're never overwhelmed.
Vanilla Blender Only: No expensive add-ons required - just the tools that come with Blender.
Quad Topology Focus: This technique ensures your models are ready for animation, texturing, or further refinement.

Your instructor
I’m Jan—a 3D artist and online teacher. Over the past seven years, I’ve created nearly 900 one-minute Blender tutorials, all available on YouTube. I love Blender not just for its versatility in bringing any idea to life but also for its friendly and supportive creative community.
My goal is to deliver high-quality lessons without unnecessary fluff and which focus on the things that you really need to know to learn Blender. I want you to feel proud of what you create and realize that, with the skills you’ve gained, you can bring any idea to life.

How this course got started
This started as a modeling exercise, to create a 3D model of a handheld retro gaming device. But then I thought, wouldn't it be cool if a device like that was made specifically for running a mobile version of Blender? With some great feedback from the community, I eventually ended up with this very rough sketch.
This short course follows the entire process of modeling, starting with reference images, to the fully finished subdivision-ready model. The videos are narrated with voice over in English and subtitled (in English).
